Hey there…

So, we essentially went missing from January 2024 to October 2025. We know, you missed us, yadda yadda yadda. We missed you too.

Worry not though, dear creamie: we’re catching up, all in one hefty post just for you.

Let’s chat about that missing year, changes to the show, and what’s coming for the podcast.

Updates

ISYMPod is no longer a monthly podcast. That’s right, we’re going bi-monthly just for you. To do this, we’ve gone for seasons in the show. While we know that you love our three-hour long episodes, breaking them down will allow for more episodes and for Ben & JD to shine on solo episodes for you to bounce around on. So far, we’ve released two seasons: The Chupacabra Special and The Docuslop (Cannibal in The Jungle, Mermaids: The Body Found). Let us know how you like it and tell us if you’ve got season suggestions!

The Chupacabra Special

Ben & JD kick off the new format with a season on the Chupacabra. From Puerto Rico all the way to Texas, we track down the truth and how the narrative went from “I saw a freaky alien” to “I’m pretty sure that’s just a dog with mange”. Ben & JD also tackle their belief in cryptids and the supernatural.

The Docuslop Special

If you’re reading this on October 23, when it was posted, we’ve just started on the Docuslop special and the Cannibal in the Jungle centric episode is now out! In season 2, we will tackle Creature Feature type documentaries that ravaged the 2010s and why camp and fun don’t seem to have a place in cryptozoology and the supernatural.

NEW ON THE FEED: Trapper Keeper

We’ve also added a sub-podcast called Trapper Keeper which is both a re-watch (for JD) and discovery (for Ben) series. We use our knowledge from the podcast and our experiences with cryptid hunting shows to talk about what makes the show The Ultimate Show.

The Lost Year

We’ve also created a playlist of the Lost Year (on this website at least) for you to catch up on episodes from January 2024 to February 2025. Our excuse for while we didn’t post quite a bit? Work, personal lives, and JD’s prep period as BUWAN in LA.
